What
I have always loved working with my hands. Building, problem solving, and imagination have always drawn me to a variety of creative media. The following are a few projects I have created either for myself or for a client.
The puzzle desk was a project born out of an idea to turn a workspace into a distraction, while at the same time being able to use that distraction to refocus yourself. The body of the desk was constructed from pine and the movable tiles were cut MDF with the designs burned onto their surface.
This cutting board is a personal project with the set goal to create a structure held together exclusively with interlocking parts. I drew much of my inspiration from three-dimensional wooden puzzles I loved playing with when I was growing up.
I was honored to be able to contribute my work to the annual climbing competition my local rock gym held for 3 years. I created the poster used to market the annual event, working with other staff members to help develop each year’s theme.
I love working with a wide variety of media and enjoy being able to express and create forms in new ways. Below are some examples of personal projects created in clay and metal.
